Colourful Wall

In today's world, each and every one's dream would be to look slim and fit. I would like to share my weight loss journey with you. My goal was to come out of my obesity range and become healthy.  The first important step to losing weight is self-realization. First of all, I accepted myself that I was obese and overweight. I made a decision that I needed to Workout every day to lose weight. Then I wrote my goal on the sticky notes(to lose 5 lbs) and stuck it on my Living room wall. Then I started my exercise 6 days in a week. When I started initially, after 3 or 4 days, I got bored to do exercise daily. I was really in need of some motivation to do it consistently. So I began to write it in sticky notes to track my daily activity. If I complete my activity, I wrote my name with the date. If I forgot or missed to do my physical activity, I wrote: "Didn't Do the activity " in the notes. I got obsessed with the sticky, and I made sure that I will do exercise daily. I did my workouts for six days in a week. Sticky Notes truly motivated me to do it daily. Fitness became a real addiction. I started with low-intensity workouts, and I began to change my diets. I lost some pounds, and that drove me to do high-intensity exercise. So far I have lost 20 lbs (10 Kg). And I am still enjoying my fitness Journey. One of my long-term goals was losing weight. I have accomplished one of my goals.

Life is full of ups and downs, and from all those ups and downs we will learn something to improve the quality of our life. Similarly, we have some individual goals and dreams to improve oneself day by day. Without goals, our life will become meaningless. But how to achieve all our goals???  Each and everyone will have some kinds of goals like personal or professional goals.
I will share you one simple trick that I used. Write down all your goals and keep it in front of you, where you can see it daily.

You may think it's funny, but it’s true. Let me explain how writing your goals will help you to accomplish it. The mind is classified into two types Conscious mind and subconscious mind. Conscious mind will analyze, think and plan, it’s a short term memory. The subconscious mind is a long term memory. It will have emotions and feelings, habits, relationship patterns, addiction, creativity, spiritual connection, and intuition. In a simple, I can say like if you write anything, conscious mind will think logically to achieve it. The subconscious mind will execute your written statement to achieve your goals without thinking logically. When you start to write it, your brain signal will read it, and you can save it in your subconscious mind, and it will help you to achieve your dreams. The Subconscious mind works for 24/7. Even though you sleep during night time, it will work. Even your conscious mind may forget your goals and dreams after few days, but it will stay in your subconscious because it has long-term memory.

Start to write your goals and track it. Be it professional goals like to get a good job, to learn some new technology and some personal goals like to lose weight. Write down your professional goals in board anywhere near your desk and personal goals on sticky notes and place it where you can see those goals at least once in a day.

I usually write all my goals and will stick it on walls. If you don't like sticky notes, buy a white board and write all your goals on the board once you achieved try to strike it.
Hope by reading this blog you will get some motivation to try this. Wish your dreams come true. All the best!!!

I'MPOSSIBLE

During my childhood, I used to get good scores in the class. I was good in academics and extra-curricular activities. My favorite subject was Mathematics. The reason why I liked Mathematics was because of my friends didn't like it and they used to see that as a big burden. I liked mathematics because I wanted to be inimitable in my own way.

After my 9th Class, I got very lazy and my marks were going down like share market from 80s to 50s. My Parents were confident that I’ll get a good score in my board exams even though I got 50s during my exams. It was 2003 January I got my half yearly marks. I was so scared to go home on that day because I barely passed in science subject.  My father got worried for the first time on how I was going to perform in my board exams. He scolded me a lot. But that didn’t hurt me because my heart said that I deserved to get all those scolding.

Board exams date was announced, my father expected only average scores from me. I told him that I’ll get good scores in all subjects. He didn’t have faith in my words and challenged me to get 90 marks at least in one subject even if it was languages. I got upset by his words but accepted the challenge. I asked him to buy set of 10 dresses for me if I accomplished it.

I took a vow to myself that I should get 90 marks at least in 2 subjects and both subjects shouldn’t be languages. I had only 3 months before the board exams, I worked so hard and spent lot of time . I completed all exams with my best effort.

Finally the day arrived, my father went out with less hope to know about my score. I was praying god that at least in one subject I should get 90. Do you know what happened? I got more than 90 in 2 subjects, in Mathematics (97) and science (95). My father was so happy ad felt proud about his daughter. My father apologized for his words, but that day I thanked him for his words. For the first time in my life, I believed in one quote "Hard work never fails". I'M POSSIBLE :)

Why Blogging????

Alarm rings!!! I wake up with a smile and excitement because I am going to try a new recipe for my husband and I’m going to learn something new to groom myself as a good homemaker.

Every day I’ll pack the lunch for my husband and he’ll leave to office. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the recipe reviews. Once he leaves I’ll be so excited to watch my favorite serials. And I'll be eager to check my Facebook page, gossips and tidbits to read.
I’ll plan to learn so many things but finally it will end up with idleness.

Daily my husband will advised me to read some good books. One day I started to read a book. Wow, awesome book :)... After few minutes, I started snoring on the sofa. I had no interest to read books, blogs, articles etc... No interest even to write blogs.

Time flew off!!!!!!!

It has been 5 months in Seattle as a homemaker. Initial days in the US were so long that I'd be waiting for the sun to set. Always I'd be thinking to do something useful and to spend my time productively at home. Then I realized that slowly laziness crept into my life.

When 2016 started, I and my husband taped some resolutions. I made a resolution that I have to improve myself in all ways and spend my time in a proper way. I don’t want to excuse myself as being a homemaker doing nothing to improve myself.

I read somewhere that physical exercise is very important for all of us not only to build our physical strength but also to improve our mental strength.

So I started from fitness, daily exercise became part of my life. Do you know something? Fitness is a good medicine for our confidence and self -motivation. I started to do PIYO (Self exercise program) twice every day.

After one week I was so active. Then I decided to spend my time in useful ways, so listed all my hobbies, passions, and list of things to learn. Photography is my passion. I went to classes to improve my framing skills.

As a second step, I have decided to write blogs. Only Blogging can tempt me to improve my reading and writing skills. Also, I want to improve my skills. Blogging and reading are great avenues for that.

I have plenty of thoughts, views and ideas to share with you all. I feel blogging is the right platform to share all of them.

Here my first post, why blogging?
